Thorgo Bridge is built on river Sindh near Thorgo Pari, Skardu.
This bridge connects Skardu with Shigar Valley.

Thorgo Pari is famous for its battle field where the last battle of the war of independence of Baltistan was fought.
Under the command of Brigadier Faqeer Sing, 350 soldiers, 400 porters and 200 horses were dispatched from Srinagar to help their army in Skardu who were attacked by the mujahideen.
At Thorgo Pari, with limited weapons, food and supplies, Colonel Ehsan Ali, his platoon along with 100 mujahideen fought in this battle against an army of 350 soldiers.
After the killing of 170 soldiers the Dogra Forces were defeated by the mujahideen and they had to retreat.
