Kotri a small city and the headquarters of the Kotri Taluka of Jamshoro district of Sindh province in the Pakistan.

It is situated on the right bank of the Indus River.

The small city actually was within the Jagir of Malik Sardar Khan, ancestor of Malik Asad Sikandar Khan, the District Nazim of Jamshoro District.

Since the year 1900 it has been linked with Gudu Bander on the other side of the river by an iron bridge.

This bridge replaced the steamboat which was utilised to cross between these 2 places.

Much of the traffic by river from the city Jhirk has ceased since the establishment of the railway.

The city contains a railway and road system, a courtesy of its neighbour, the city of Hyderabad, on the other side of the river.
