Nishan-e-Pakistan is a national solidarity monument in Clifton Beach of the city of Karachi in the Sindh province of Pakistan.
It became the second tallest flag pole in Pakistan after a taller flah pole was installed on the Wagha Border in installed on the occasion of the Independence Day 2017.
It was inaugurated on Apr 29, 2016 by Corps Commander Karachi Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar.
Nishan-e-Pakistan at Seaview in DHA was illuminated with dazzling colourful lights and tastefully decorated with historical pictures and display charts inscribed with inspirational quotes showcasing the exciting spirit of Journey for Creation of Pakistan.
Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar paid tremendous tributes to martyrs and national heroes, at Sea View, in the metropolis.
Besides being a symbol of national unity and cohesion, it also commemorates resilience of people of Karachi , their determination for peace and tranquillity and pays tribute to all the Shuhada.
Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad Khan and Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah were also present in the ceremony.
The hallmark of Pakistan Day was a spectacular air show by Pakistan Air Force aircrafts including Mirages, F-16s and JF-17 Thunder at Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue (Seaview Road).
The event was also attended by politicians, bureaucrats, business community, minority leaders and representatives from Armed Forces.
A large number of people gathered at Seaview and celebrated Pakistan Day in its real spirit.
