The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park in Clifton was inaugurated on Thursday, 28 January, 2010 by the president of Pakistan.
The park spans over an area of 152 acres containing every sort of facilities for visitors.
The location is accessible; the park is very close to Clifton Beach. It is near the popular food street on Boat Basin and Dolmen Mall, both of which draw in large crowds.
Visitors to these places can visit the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park for recreation and exercise in the open.
The park has been decorated with hundreds of footlights which would keep the park illuminating in ordinary days and in holidays large lights would be switched on for the visitors.
The park has the capacity to accommodate around 100,000 visitors at a time. The park also has a hall spanning over an area of 100X100 feet and resembling the Baradari of Polo Ground.
The park has a total of around 100,000 different types of plants out of which 30,000 are shrubs and 5,000.
The park has a stone-built boundary wall over an area of 10,000 feet and it has been developed with sandstone which has a prolong life duration.
The park is open to the public from 4 AM- 11 PM. This way the park is able to cater to people with all kinds of schedules and routines. Whether one prefers exercising in the early hours of the morning or retreating to nature at night.
The park has been developed at a cost of Rs877 million.
