Raikot Bridge is the gateway to Nanga Parbat Base Camp, on the Indus River in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan.

It is 66.5 km from Gilgit and 56.4 km from Chilas

From Raikot Bridge on Karakoram Highway, you may hire a jeep to reach Tatoo village.

From this village if you start trekking for two to three hours you will reach heaven of earth, i.e. Fairy Meadows.

Raikot is a village along the Indus River Valley south of Gilgit, North East of Chilas.

It is on the Karakoram Highway in the District of Diamer, Gilgit Baltistan.

Complex granitic pegmatite occur in the area, specifically in two side valleys directly north of the Raikot bridge.

The Karakoram Highway had been upgraded from the Raikot bridge in Diamer to Khunjerab near the border with China from 2008 onwards.

It took around five years to complete the project which was built with the cooperation of China.

Repairing of KKH from Raikot Diamer to Dasu in Kohistan will be made at a cost of Rs 9 billion as part of CPEC infrastructure projects for Gigit Baltistan .
